Where to start
Section titled “Where to start”P&H Cloud Platform (Beta) → Label Checking → click “Create session” (top-right of the page).
The button opens a two-step dialog: Details first, then View.
Step-by-step
Section titled “Step-by-step”- Set the session name. Pre-filled as
LC-YYYY-MMDD-HHMM(date + time stamp). Override with anything that helps you find the session later. - Pick the session length (TTL). 1 hour, 8 hours, 24 hours (default), 7 days, or No expiry. Shorter is safer — the TTL is your time-bound security control. “No expiry” never auto-expires and lives until you revoke it manually; it can only be chosen at creation, not when editing a session later.
- (Optional) Assign operators (PIN gate). Under “Operators (PIN gate)”, tick which operators may scan this session. Pick one or more and each must enter their PIN on the device, and their scans are attributed to them; leave it empty and the session scans anonymously. Operators are defined in Settings → Cloud Platform → Operators.
- (Optional) Set access controls. Under “Optional access controls”, type a Username and/or Password. To have Logistified pick the password for you, tick “Auto-generate” next to the Password field — the input goes disabled, and on save a 12-character password is generated and shown to you once in an amber callout (“shown once — won’t be shown again”). Copy it then; it can’t be retrieved later.
- (Optional) Set “Issued by”. An email address recorded against the session for audit purposes. Pre-filled with your Shopify login email.
- Click “Next”. The dialog moves to the View step.
- (Optional) Create an empty session. Tick “Create empty session” to issue a session with no products — operators add SKUs from the device later. Leave it unticked to build the expected list from a view (next step).
- Pick the View. Choose an existing saved Forecast view — every variant in that view becomes the expected list, and the view is used as-is: its own filters and location are locked and shown read-only (pick “Create (new) custom filters” if you need to change them). Or pick “Create (new) custom filters” to build an ad-hoc filter on the spot; custom mode has its own optional Location selector (defaults to “All locations”). There’s no separate mandatory location step — location either comes from the saved view or is an optional filter in custom mode. The expected list isn’t practically capped.
- Click “Generate QR code”. A “Resolving products” progress bar runs (empty sessions skip it), then the dialog lands on the issued state with the QR code, the URL, and (if you used Auto-generate) the one-time password.
Editing a session
Section titled “Editing a session”Open the Settings icon on the session row to edit:
- Rename. Change the session name.
- Set a fresh TTL. Saving with a TTL change resets expiry to now + the selected window — it does not add time onto the existing expiry. Editing only offers the timed windows, not “No expiry”; a session already set to “No expiry” stays that way unless you pick a timed window (which downgrades it).
- Refresh products from source view. Only available for view-sourced sessions — re-evaluates the saved filter and rebuilds the R2 payload with the current SKUs and barcodes.
- Change operators. Add or remove operators from the session’s PIN gate. Unlike credentials, the operator list can be changed after creation.
The Edit dialog also has a “Revoke session” button at the bottom-left (two-click confirm pattern).
