Check how a plan is doing

Enhanced plan

Once a sales plan or a launch plan is running, two places tell you how it’s going. The plan’s Analytics tab looks back: how far along is the plan today? The forecast’s Supply view looks ahead: will the coming weeks reach the plan? This guide walks through both and what to do with what you find. Every card is explained in detail on Plan analytics.

  • The plan is a sales plan or a New Product Planning plan. Inventory Commitments have no Analytics tab.
  • The plan has started, and its products have begun to sell. With fewer than 10 units sold, most cards wait for more sales.
  • Your shop is on the Enhanced or Elevate plan for a launch plan, or on Elevate for a sales plan.
  • For the Supply view part: the sales plan is Confirmed or Locked.
  1. Open the plan and click the Analytics tab.

  2. Pick what to look at. Leave the location switcher on All locations (All locations (summary) on a launch plan) for the whole plan, or pick one store. Use the Variants menu to narrow to some products. On a sales plan, switch between Units and Revenue.

  3. Read Plan vs. actual. Attainment shows how much of the plan to date has sold: green from 90%, amber from 70%, red below. On track for estimates where the plan ends if recent sales continue, for example “~90 of 180”.

  4. Read the line above the chart, if there is one. It names stores that sold these products without having them in the plan: “Those sales aren’t counted here.”

  5. Check the Planning matrix for the periods and products behind target: each cell shows actual / target, coloured the same way. Switch between Variants and Products to see single variants or whole products.

  6. On All locations, check the share card: Share by location (to date) shows whether one store is falling behind faster than the others. Click Show table for each store’s attainment.

  7. Scroll to Biggest gaps at the bottom. It lists the five entries furthest Ahead of plan and Behind plan (on All locations, each entry is a variant at one location). Click a row to focus the whole tab on that variant, then switch locations to see where it falls short. To go back, choose All variants in the Variants menu.

For a sales plan, the forecast tells you whether the rest of the season will reach the target.

  1. Open a forecast view with the plan’s products and switch it to Supply. In the Supply menu, check that Show sales plans is on. See Supply view.

  2. Find the Sales plans chart above the table. Each period has three bars: Sold (sales so far, current period only), Forecast (where the period is expected to land) and Plan (the target, in violet).

  3. Read the chip above the bars: the forecast as a share of the plan, with ▲ or ▼. ⚠ stock means the forecast would reach the target but your stock can’t serve it.

  4. To look at one plan only, open the plan list next to Sales plans (it reads All N plans) and untick the others. Each plan in the list links back to its Analytics tab.

  5. Click a period’s header for its column card: the variants that need ordering, the ones running out, and the plan total for that period. Click a variant there to open its own card.

The chart and the Analytics tab can show different numbers on purpose: the chart counts every Confirmed or Locked plan on the page that you haven’t left out, and all your stores; the tab counts one plan and its own stores. The ⓘ next to Sales plans explains how the chart counts. See Why the chart and a plan’s Analytics tab can differ.

Attainment red across the planThe goal was too high, or demand dropped.Sales plan: lower the Growth or targets on the Products tab; the forecast doesn’t change, it already follows real sales. Launch plan: lower Volume ×, so the forecast and your reorders follow the slower start.
One store far behind, the others on planSomething is different there: stock, display, local demand.Pick that store and check its products in Biggest gaps. If its targets were simply too high, lower them at that store only.
A store named in the line above the chart (”… isn’t on this plan … Those sales aren’t counted here.”)Customers buy these products at a store that isn’t in the plan.Add the store with Actions › Add location…. See Plans at several locations.
Variants far Ahead of planThey sell better than planned.Raise their targets, and check that you have stock: open the forecast and order more. See Order stock for a plan.
⚠ stock in the Supply view chartDemand is there, but stock runs out first.Create a purchase order from the forecast. See Create a PO from the forecast.
”No sales history at store … (shop-wide sales are not used)“The products never sold at that store, so its actuals count as zero.Nothing is wrong. Expect that store to start low.

Six weeks into Autumn/Winter 2027, the Analytics tab on All locations shows Attainment at 78% (amber) and On track for “~4,100 of 5,000”. Biggest gaps lists three boots under Behind plan, all at Hamburg. The share card confirms it: Hamburg was planned for 45% of the sales but has made 32%.

You pick Hamburg in the switcher. The boots are behind, but the rest of Hamburg is on plan. In the Supply view, the boots’ periods show ⚠ stock: the forecast would reach the target, but stock runs short. You create a purchase order for the boots from the forecast, and leave the targets as they are.
