Multi-store setup
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Logistified installed on both stores — each store runs its own Logistified install.
- Admin access to both stores, so you can change settings on each.
- Decide which store is your main store (the one that aggregates everything).
How connecting works
Section titled “How connecting works”Connecting is a two-sided handshake: the second store has to authorize your main store before the main store can connect to it. You’ll switch between the two stores’ Settings → Multi-store pages and copy each store’s Store ID (its store-name.myshopify.com domain) to the other.
- On your main store: open Settings → Multi-store, turn on Enable Multi-Store, then turn on This is the Main Store. Copy the Store ID shown.
- On the second store: open Settings → Multi-store and turn on Enable Multi-Store (leave This is the Main Store off — this is an additional store). In Whitelist Management, click Add Store, paste your main store’s ID, and confirm. Then copy this store’s own Store ID.
- Back on your main store: in Connected Stores, click Add Store, paste the second store’s ID, and click Connect. It only succeeds if you whitelisted the main store in step 2.
- Turn on order mirroring — this is the point of connecting. On your main store, open the connected store’s settings, turn on Mirror this store’s orders, and map its fulfillment locations to your own so demand lands in the right place. Save.
- Click Start initial sync to bring the store’s past orders across as historical demand. From then on, new orders mirror automatically, and any later edits, refunds, or cancellations in that store keep your main store’s demand up to date.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Adding a US store to an existing EU store. I make the EU store my main store and copy its Store ID. On the US store I enable Multi-Store, whitelist the EU store’s ID, and copy the US Store ID back. Back on the EU store I paste the US ID and connect. Then I open the US store’s settings, map its warehouse to my existing “US-East” location, turn on Mirror this store’s orders, and start the backfill — now the US store’s sales feed my unified forecast alongside the EU store’s.
Common failure modes
Section titled “Common failure modes”| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Connect fails on the main store | The second store hasn’t whitelisted your main store’s ID yet (or the ID was mistyped). | On the second store, add your main store’s ID under Whitelist Management first, then connect. Double-check both IDs are the full store-name.myshopify.com domain. |
| Order backfill progress is stuck | Sync run got interrupted. | Open the store settings dialog and click Reset stuck run, then start a fresh sync. |
| Some order lines appear quarantined | Their SKUs couldn’t be matched to a product in your main store (missing, not found, or duplicated). | Open the Quarantine tab (Settings → Multi-store) to see each line’s reason, fix the SKU so both stores agree, then re-run the sync. |
