What the device plays
Section titled “What the device plays”Two audio cues:
- Success soundSuccess soundThe audio cue a Cloud Platform device plays when a scan matches. Configurable per shop in Settings → Cloud Platform. Read more → — when a scanned label matches an expected item.
- Failed-scan soundFailed-scan soundThe audio cue a Cloud Platform device plays when a scan doesn't match. Configurable per shop in Settings → Cloud Platform. Read more → — when it doesn’t (no match, or a duplicate scan).
No defaults — bring your own
Section titled “No defaults — bring your own”If no sound is uploaded, the device plays nothing — silence on both match and miss. Upload a success sound and/or a failed-scan sound to get audio feedback.
Uploading sounds
Section titled “Uploading sounds”Settings → Cloud Platform → Label Checking tab. There are two upload cards: Success sound and Failed-scan sound.
Each card is a drag-and-drop zone — drop a file on it or click “browse files”. After upload, the card shows the filename, size, an <audio> preview with controls, plus Replace and Remove buttons.
Constraints:
- Format: MP3, WAV, OGG, or M4A (anything the browser plays as an
audio/*MIME type). - Size: up to 1 MB per file (client- and server-enforced).
Where files are stored
Section titled “Where files are stored”Saved alongside your shop’s settings. The device fetches them directly when the session loads.
