Recover from a stuck data sync
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Logistified is installed.
- The progress page shows one or more steps stuck in “Loading” for too long.
What “too long” means:
- Small shop: anything over an hour.
- Large shop: anything over several hours.
- Refresh the progress page. The system polls every 10 seconds — make sure you’re seeing the latest.
- Check Settings → Data Import — is a re-sync already running?
- If a step shows “Failed,” click it for the error details.
- Decide: wait, or re-sync.
- If you re-sync: Settings → Data Import → “Re-sync.” This resets all six steps to Waiting and starts over.
- Wait for completion.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Initial load stuck on Orders for 3 hours on a small shop with 100 products. The bulk pull from Shopify timed out. I re-sync from Settings → Data Import. The new run completes in about 10 minutes.
Common failure modes
Section titled “Common failure modes”| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Stuck on Orders forever | Shopify bulk-op URL expired before the queue processed it. | Re-sync. |
| Re-sync ran but Forecast page still empty | Variant overrides haven’t been imported yet. | Wait — post-processing runs after the main sync. |
| Sync runs but Shopify has no data here | Permission scopes missing. | Re-install with full scopes. |
