Inventory
“Inventory” in Logistified is a topic, not a section of the app — there is no Inventory link in the top nav. The features grouped here live across the app: the eight quantity columns appear on the Forecast page; Locations, Stock takes settings, and Data exclusion are in Settings; Incoming reconciliation is a tab inside Settings → Variant Settings; Stock takes is the only feature with its own page, reached from Procurement (PO&TO).
Shopify is the source of truth for every quantity. Logistified mirrors Shopify via webhook and only pushes one value back — the incoming quantity, driven by purchase-order and transfer-order state changes. Operator adjustments (PO receipt, TO shipment, stock take) go to Shopify first via inventoryAdjustQuantities, then come back to Logistified through the same webhook. A periodic background check (roughly every 10 hours) catches anything the webhooks miss.

Section titled “Key concepts”- On handOn hand quantityPhysically present units at a location, available to sell. Mirrors Shopify's on-hand value. Read more → , availableAvailable quantityUnits you can still commit to new orders — on-hand minus already-committed. Read more → , incomingIncoming quantityUnits expected to arrive from open purchase orders and in-transit transfer orders. Shopify maintains its own incoming counter; Logistified updates it from PO/TO workflow, and Incoming Reconciliation may require a manual apply if the two drift. Read more → , committedCommitted quantityUnits reserved for customer orders that haven't shipped yet. Read more → , reservedReserved quantityA separate Shopify reserve bucket — like committed, but for specific allocations. Read more → , damagedDamaged quantityUnits you've recorded as unsellable due to damage. A separate quantity bucket alongside on-hand. Read more → , safety stockSafety stock quantityA specific buffer of units flagged as not-for-sale. Different from the safety-stock concept used in forecasting (which is a number Logistified computes, not a column you allocate). Read more → , quality controlQuality control quantityUnits held back for inspection or testing. A separate quantity bucket alongside on-hand. Read more → — the eight quantity buckets.
- LocationLocationA Shopify location — a warehouse, a retail store, a fulfilment hub. Logistified mirrors every active Shopify location and uses them throughout the app. Read more → — a Shopify location Logistified mirrors.
- Location overrideLocation overrideAn app-side address used on PDFs and labels in place of the Shopify location address. Render-time only — the upstream Shopify location is never modified. Read more → — app-side address shown on PDFs and labels.
- Incoming reconciliationIncoming reconciliationA check that compares what Logistified thinks is on the way against what Shopify shows as incoming. Highlights variants where the two disagree so you can fix the drift. Read more → — drift detection between Logistified and Shopify.
- Stock takeStock takeA physical count of inventory at a location, used to reconcile what you have against what the system says. Logistified writes the corrected quantities back to Shopify when you complete the take. Read more → — a physical count that updates Shopify.
- Data exclusion ruleData exclusion ruleA filter that hides certain products from analytics — usually archived or draft products, or items in specific tags / vendors / collections. Advisory: every report that uses it applies the filter itself. Read more → — hides a subset of products from analytics.
