Move inventory dialog
Elevate plan
A separate operator-driven flow to move taken-back units back to inventory at a specific location. Useful when:
- You’ve been shipped extra units in error and want to restock them.
- You’re salvaging usable units from a defective shipment.

What it does
Section titled “What it does”Moves units recorded as “taken back” on RMA lines into inventory at a location of your choice. Updates the location’s on-hand; pushes the change to Shopify.
How to launch
Section titled “How to launch”From the RMA detail page → Move Inventory button. The dialog shows every line on the RMA. Rows with nothing left to move are shown but disabled, so you can always see the full line list. The button is hidden in Closed, Rejected, and Cancelled RMAs — use the corrective back-edge (see Lifecycle) to reopen the RMA first.
What it does NOT do automatically
Section titled “What it does NOT do automatically”Inventory moves are never triggered by RMA status transitions. You always launch the dialog explicitly.
