What it does
Section titled “What it does”Attaches a recipient view filterRecipient view filterA saved Forecast view attached to a notification or report recipient. The recipient only receives variants matching their view — one report, many recipients, each gets their slice. Read more → to one report recipient. The report’s global payload is computed once; then for each recipient, their view filter narrows the rows. Each recipient gets a different email.
Use case
Section titled “Use case”You manage three buyers, each responsible for a different category. Instead of three separate reports, create one report and attach the right view per buyer.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”The report computes the global payload (every variant the report’s scope includes). Then for each recipient:
- No view filter → recipient gets the full payload.
- View filter set → recipient gets only rows matching their view.
Five recipients on one report can have five different effective scopes.
Deleted views degrade silently
Section titled “Deleted views degrade silently”If a view is deleted after a recipient was attached, the recipient silently starts receiving the unfiltered payload. Check the recipient list periodically.
