The plan grid

Elevate plan

The Plan tab of a sales plan is a grid: one row per product, one column per period. It shows when each target falls, and it’s where you shape a target over time, for example to push December harder.

  • What the grid shows
  • Group by week, month, quarter or year
  • Editing a cell
  • Editing on All locations
  • Totals
  • Resetting revenue
  • Saving

Each row is one product. Under its name, the row says where it’s planned: at one location Location: Berlin and the product’s growth, for example Growth: +20%; on All locations, All locations (3). Each column is a period of the plan. Use the location switcher next to the tabs to choose the location; see Plans at several locations.

Two tabs above the grid switch what the cells show:

  • Units: the target in units. Units can have two decimals, because targets are planned day by day; when any number in the grid has decimals, all show two.
  • Revenue (EUR): the target in your shop’s currency. A product without a price shows no price, its revenue cells can’t be edited here, and a note under the grid says how many products are left out of the revenue totals, for example “1 product has no price, so it is not included in the revenue totals.” To give it a revenue, type one on the Products tab first.

The grid keeps your choice while you switch tabs or locations, and the Analytics tab uses the same Units or Revenue choice. Use Search products or SKUs… to narrow the rows; while you search, the toolbar shows how many rows match, for example 4 of 120.

A cell that reads ”-” is outside the product’s plan dates. Rows you changed but haven’t saved are highlighted.

A plan without products shows “No products in this plan yet”: add them on the Products tab. A location of the plan without products reads “No products at location”.

Group by sets the columns: Week, Month, Quarter or Year. The grid starts on Month.

Group byColumn header
WeekThe calendar week, for example KW03 (calendar week 3), with its dates as day and month (12.01 – 18.01, 12 to 18 January). Weeks start on Monday.
MonthThe month and year, for example Feb 2027.
QuarterQ1 to Q4 and the year.
YearThe year, for example 2027.

When the plan covers only part of a quarter or year, the header shows the dates it covers, for example Nov 15 – Dec 31.

The Analytics tab’s planning matrix uses the same Group by, so the two always match.

While the plan is Draft or Confirmed, every cell is a field. Click it, type the new target for that period and press Enter.

  • Enter keeps your entry and moves down one row. It’s saved when you click Save changes.
  • Arrow up and Arrow down move to the cell above or below.
  • Tab moves to the next cell.
  • Escape undoes what you typed. The cell stays selected, so you can type again or move on with the keyboard.
  • Clicking away also keeps your entry.

A new number for a period is spread over its days the way the old one was, so the shape inside the period stays. If the period was 0, the number is spread evenly. Type 0 to clear a period; an empty cell changes nothing. A comma works as the decimal mark too.

Targets can’t be negative. A number that can’t be used is put back and the toolbar says why, for example “Mug, Dec: a target can’t be negative.”

Editing a cell doesn’t change the product’s growth. Revenue cells work the same way: see Resetting revenue for what a typed revenue does.

When the plan is Locked, Completed or Cancelled, the grid is read-only.

On All locations, each cell is the period’s total over every location of the plan, and you can edit it.

The number you type is split across the locations in proportion to what each one had in that period. If Berlin had 60 and Hamburg 40, and you type 150, Berlin gets 90 and Hamburg 60. If nothing was planned in that period yet, the split follows each location’s total for the product, and if the product has no target anywhere, the locations get equal shares. The locations always add up to exactly what you typed.

To change one location only, pick it in the switcher first. More on this: Plans at several locations.

  • The Total column on the right adds up each product over the whole plan.
  • The Total row at the bottom adds up every product per period, over the rows shown.

Both stay in view while you scroll. On a narrow screen such as a phone, the product column gets narrower and the Total column scrolls in after the last period, so at least two periods stay visible and editable.

Each revenue total is rounded to the cent once, so a product’s Total can differ by a cent from the sum of its rounded periods.

Revenue is units × price unless you type your own (which price: see Revenue). When you type a revenue in any period, the product’s revenue counts as typed by hand for the whole plan, not only that period, and a blue dot marks it next to the product’s name. From then on, a change to the units in a period scales that period’s revenue by the same ratio, and a growth change scales all of it.

To go back to units × price, click the reset icon next to the product name: “Reset revenue to derived (units × price)”. The reset applies to the whole row, not to one cell.

On All locations, the reset applies at every location. When more than one location has a revenue typed by hand, Logistified asks first: “Reset revenue at all locations?” Click Reset at all locations to confirm.

Your edits wait in the save bar at the bottom of the page together with changes on the Products tab. Click Save changes to save everything, or Discard changes to throw it away. See Saving changes.

  1. Open the sales plan and click the Plan tab.

  2. Leave Group by on Month and Units selected.

  3. In the location switcher, pick the store you want to push, for example Berlin. Leave it on All locations to raise every store together.

  4. Click the product’s Dec cell, type the new target, for example 180, and press Enter. The row is highlighted and the Total column updates.

  5. Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the page. Logistified confirms how many targets were saved, for example “Saved 1 target” at one location, or one per location on All locations.
