Editing prices in a report

On reports that show variants — Products, SKU / Variant, Stock on hand, Low stock, ABC analysis, Best sellers, and Sale items — the Price and Compare-at price columns are live values from Shopify, and you can edit them right in the table. It’s the same editing experience as on a purchase order, transfer order, return, or supplier stock release line-item table.

Add the Price and/or Compare-at price column from the Columns popover if it isn’t already on screen. Click a price cell, type the new amount, and press Enter — Escape cancels.

Before anything is written, Logistified asks “Change the live price?” and shows the old value next to the new one. Confirm with Update price. A Don’t ask again this session checkbox skips the confirmation for the rest of your session; closing the tab brings it back.

Leave the Compare-at price cell empty and confirm — that removes the compare-at price on the variant, which removes the “was” price from your storefront. The retail price can’t be cleared the same way; emptying that cell just cancels the edit.

A greyed-out price cell explains itself on hover, keyboard focus, or tap:

What you seeWhy
”This row has no Shopify product.”The row isn’t linked to a product in Shopify.
”Shopify returned no live price for this variant…”Usually a deleted variant.
”Prices could not be checked against Shopify…”The live price check failed — use the Retry offered on the banner.

Rows in a grouped view (totals by supplier, vendor, and so on) are never editable — a total isn’t one variant, so there’s nothing single to write to. Expand a group to see and edit its individual rows.

What updates right away, and what doesn’t

Section titled “What updates right away, and what doesn’t”

The cell you edited shows its new value immediately. Everything calculated from it on the rest of the table — Margin, Markup, Gross profit, totals, and the row’s position if you’re sorted by price — stays at its pre-edit value until you ask the page to catch up. Logistified shows a banner after a commit: “Prices updated — the rest of this table has not caught up.” Click Refresh to re-run the report and bring everything current.

Refreshing is a deliberate action rather than automatic, so an edit never silently reshuffles the rows you’re looking at mid-review.

An export (CSV or XLSX) always re-runs the report against current data, so a file you download after an edit already reflects the new price and the recalculated Margin / Markup / Gross profit — you don’t need to hit Refresh first. Export is temporarily unavailable while a price save is in progress.
