Data exclusion

Data exclusion lets you hide certain products from Logistified’s analytics — for example, archived items that would clutter the forecast. There are two flavors: advisory rules (filters that hide items) and a destructive deletion option (which actually removes products). They look similar but behave very differently. Both live in Settings → Data exclusion — there is no Inventory page in the app.

By default, Logistified hides products whose Shopify status is archived or draft. You can’t opt out of this — these products would distort every metric.

You can add custom data exclusion rulesData exclusion ruleA filter that hides certain products from analytics — usually archived or draft products, or items in specific tags / vendors / collections. Advisory: every report that uses it applies the filter itself. Read more → that hide products matching:

  • A tag
  • A vendor
  • A product type
  • A category

Rules are advisory — every page that reads them applies them. If a page forgets, the rule doesn’t take effect there.

The settings page also exposes a more drastic action: delete matching products from Logistified entirely.

What it does:

  • Physically removes products matching your rule from Logistified.
  • Skips variants that appear on a PO line item — those get marked as deleted instead, preserving the audit trail.

What it does not do:

  • Does not touch Shopify. The products stay in Shopify.
