Onboarding wizard
The Onboarding wizardOnboardingThe six-step setup wizard that runs once on install. Collects default lead time, MOQ, pack size, history years, and a notification email; then kicks off the initial Shopify data sync. Read more → runs once on installation. It walks you through six steps that set the most-important defaults for your shop. The whole wizard takes about three minutes; the data sync that follows takes longer.

The six steps
Section titled “The six steps”| Step | What it collects |
|---|---|
| 1. Welcome | A brief intro. No data collected. |
| 2. Supplier setup | Default lead time (40 days), default MOQ (0), default pack size (1). Used as fallbacks for variants without a specific supplier link. |
| 3. Data synchronization | How many years of order history to pull. Default is 2 years; “All available history” is an option but takes much longer. |
| 4. Setup notifications | Email address to receive the welcome / setup-complete emails. |
| 5. Summary | Review your inputs. Click Confirm to proceed. |
| 6. Start setup | Visual animation while the initial data load begins. Not a submit step. |
What you set vs. what you can change later
Section titled “What you set vs. what you can change later”| Wizard field | Editable later? | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Default lead time | Yes (per supplier–variant link) | Suppliers → Mapping |
| Default MOQ | Yes (per supplier–variant link) | Suppliers → Mapping |
| Default pack size | Yes (per supplier–variant link) | Suppliers → Mapping |
| Years of history | No (contact support to re-sync) | Email [email protected] |
| Notification email | Yes | Settings → Notifications |
Years of history is a one-way choice during onboarding. If you need a longer baseline later, support can trigger a manual re-sync.
The progress page
Section titled “The progress page”After the wizard, you land on a progress page showing six setup steps:
| Step | What’s happening |
|---|---|
| Products | Pulling products and variants from Shopify. |
| Orders | Pulling order history. |
| Locations | Pulling location data. |
| Order Histories | Aggregating sales history into daily / weekly buckets. |
| Default Supplier | Creating the Default supplier and attaching it to every variant. |
| Forecast Models | Running automatic model optimization for the first time. |
Each step shows status, count, and any errors. Refresh the page periodically — it polls roughly every 10 seconds.
Failures during setup
Section titled “Failures during setup”If a step fails:
- Logistified retries automatically a few times.
- If retries don’t help, the step shows “Failed.”
- There is no in-app retry button. Email [email protected] with your store URL and a screenshot of the progress page — the team will manually re-run the sync for you until it completes. Your inputs from the wizard are reused; you don’t have to redo them.
The welcome and setup-complete emails
Section titled “The welcome and setup-complete emails”Once you confirm the wizard, a Welcome email goes to the address you provided in step 4. When all six progress steps complete, a Setup-complete email follows, with a short summary of what was loaded (products, variants, orders, locations). Both go to the same address; you can change it later in Settings → Notifications.
Re-running the setup
Section titled “Re-running the setup”The wizard runs once on installation and is not re-shown afterwards. Everything you set in it can be edited from the relevant settings page (see the table above). If you genuinely need a fresh data sync from Shopify (e.g. to load more years of history), email [email protected] — re-sync is a support-assisted action, not a self-serve button.
